about & contact
Hi there! First off, thanks for stopping by the place where I get to share all of my ideas and inspiration. This blog has been in the works for quite awhile, and I’m so excited to finally get the ball rolling.
A little about me:
God has blessed me beyond belief, and to Him I give all the glory.
I’m an Oregonian, born and raised.
In July of 2010 I married my best friend, and we are slowly making our house a home.
For now, it’s just the two of us (and our dog, Goose).
I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from Oregon State University, but I truly have a passion for design in all forms. Living in the northwest, where 90% of the days are dark and dreary, has taught me to crave color and incorporate it into nearly all of my work, from paper goods to textiles.
I am by no means a graphic designer, and all of my work is self-taught. That being said, I really enjoy creating pretty paper products that are useful for everyday life.
…and a few of my favorite things:
| linen | hydrangeas | mercury glass | mason jars | bakers twine | burlap | letterpress | barn-wood |
| hand-written notes | monograms | driftwood | baking | homemade gifts | chalkboards |

I find inspiration everywhere, and it helps that I’m surrounded my incredibly talented friends including:
– Colleen –
She created my header (her handwriting is amazing), as well as all of the doodles you see on my site.
Colleen is also a gifted | photographer |
– Hilary –
You can read more about what I think of this incredible girl | here |
Some of my other favorite places to look are:
– Pugly Pixel –
Her | blog bling kit | is perfect for those who are new to blogging. She also offers great Photoshop tutorials.
– K Werner Design –
Great tutorials for paper goods.
– Elise Blaha –
Amazing projects, mini books, albums, etc.
I love your blog, Linds! Looking forward to following along.
Love the Blog!! I showed my bf the How to Pray for you man and he REALLY wants one for him so he can pray for me. I was wondering if you were going to create a wife and gf version? Thanks! -Kayte
Thanks for sharing “how to pray for your husband”. I just printed it and tucked it in my bible.
You’re blog is so wonderful! I had to stop liking every post I saw 🙂 I’m quite content that I found it! Thank you.
Yay! Thanks so much, I appreciate your kind words and all the likes 🙂
Such a lovely blog! It’s beautiful to look at without even reading anything, but there are so many great ideas, too! Congrats on your Freshly Pressed post. I look forward to reading more. 🙂
Such fun to chance on your bright and airy space via Freshly Pressed today — I live in the dark and dreary Netherlands, and it looks like we share a lot of the same tactics for redeeming blahs with colour and beauty. (:
Your blog looks fantastic! It feels good just to look at it! Manny Blessings and much success!
I love your blog! So many great inspirational ideas. Definitely going to be following 🙂 Love the Christmas in July, too! xxx Kristin
Hi Lindsay, I think your blog is fantastic so I have nominated you for a well deserved, Addictive Blog Award: http://girlridesbicycle.wordpress.com/2012/09/21/addictive-blog-award/
Hi, I just came across your blog and love the “Prayer for my husband” I wanted to copy it for a reminder for myself because it’s so beautifully done but unfortunately I’m a spelling freak and noticed an error…temptation. No one else has mentioned it so I feel bad bringing it up to you. I hope you take this as a positive and not a negative comment. Said with a loving heart!
Ha ha, thank you Lorraine 🙂 An atheist forum actually came across my blog and had a hay day with the misspelling of ‘temptation’, so I am aware of it and have a new one ready to post, I just haven’t ever gotten around to it. I promise to do it this week, though. Thank you for the reminder with a loving heart, I really do appreciate it!
Lulu, I love all your posts. I especially like the ‘Ten Ways to Pray for your Husband’. Do you have something similar for praying for your wives? Two of my daughters are getting married this year and I’d like to give their soon to be spouses ways to pray for their wives. I’m planning on giving the other to my daughters.
By the by, my parents met at Oregon State and got married. Go Beavers!
Thanks you,
Robin (rtashjian59@gmail.com)
Dear Lulu
Love your blog, first time visitor!
My name is Jo-Anne and my daughter is planning her wedding. I recently noticed on one of your pins that has several fonts showing. I am interested in the 10th font from the top, I believe it says ” rene” something. I was wondering if we could purchase that font to use for signage.
I would greatly appreciate your insight and direction with this font.

Hi Jo-Anne,
I’m sorry it took me so long to get back to you! The Lady Rene font can be found and purchased from myfonts.com, (http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/sudtipos/lady-rene/)
Good luck with the wedding planning!
Your work is gorgeous! ❤
Thanks so much!
Love your blog! Just happened on here from Pinterest. I am from Oregon, born and raised also but am not living there right now, sadly. Heres to cloudy days and lovely coffee!
Just happened upon your blog through Pinterest (“10 ways to pray for your husband” pin) and love it! Downloaded your beautiful freebies and especially love the baby boy print. We are due in August with our second and don’t know gender but that will be a great addition to the nursery wall if we have a boy! Also, I ADORE your son Avery’s room!!! One of the cutest (yet practical) that I’ve seen.
