DIY Cluster Vase
Soy Sauce + Inspiration = Simple DIY Cluster Vase
My mom has this really adorable vase that I’ve always wanted to try to recreate, but never got around to.
+
I’ve been saving up soy sauce bottles from a recipe that Ian and I love, and I finally got my 4th empty bottle this week. I know, I know, it sounds like a lot of soy sauce, but the recipe is to die for.
And so this weekend I finally got around to making the vase, it’s so simple it’s almost kind of embarrassing, but not too embarrassing to share…
1. All you need for this project is floral wire, empty (clean!) bottles, and some hot glue.
2. Begin by placing a squiggly, straight line of hot glue down the side of one bottle, then quickly stick it to another bottle. Continue until all 4 bottles are glued to one another.
> > Hot glue dries pretty quick, so it’s best to do this part of the project as fast as you can < <
3. Once you have them all stuck together, it should look something like this.
4. Start wrapping your floral wire around the bottles and continue until you are satisfied with the amount of wire you have. Snip the wire when you’re done and then tuck the remaining piece behind the others to hide it.
5. Fill with water, insert your favorite buds, and instantly you’ve made your kitchen shelf that much brighter!
…I told you it was easy!
Such an easy and super cute idea!

What a clever idea!! I mean, I am SO not a crafty person, but I think this is something that even I can do!

Congrats on being Freshly Pressed! 🙂
Nice one! What about the recipe to die for? 🙂
It involves seared ahi and noodles, and I promise it’s coming soon!
Looking forward to it! I used to live in Hawaii where ahi tuna is a local specialty. Would love to try your recipe! 🙂
Wow! How can such a simple idea look so pretty!?! Loving the photography too!
Thank you, I know it’s hard to believe but I actually took all of those photos with my iPad and then gave them a little more life in Photoshop!
I may have to do this for my wife as a gift, it’s such a wonderful idea. Of course, she’ll probably read this first…ha ha ha. Congrats on being Freshly Pressed!! Thanks for sharing such a great, cool and simple idea!!
Hey, even if she does see it before you make it, she’ll be so excited about a homemade gift from her hubby! 🙂
Perfect easy idea… thank you for sharing! 🙂
Gorgeous! We love it! 🙂
Thanks for sharing. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
Isn’t that the truth! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Cool idea, and congrats on being freshly pressed.
Pickapeppa hot sauce is the key ingredient in a secret family recipe, and I always save the bottles. Usually they become philodendron gifts for students, but now I’ll consider bundles for larger gifts. Thanks!
Very cute!
love it!

Cute Idea for the home.
Thank god for those original enough to come up with all the best dyi ideas, so I can shamelessly pilfer them and have my apartment be the toast of the town!
Haha, that literally made me laugh out loud! I don’t know that I can call this “original” since I copied one I’d seen, but I did have fun coming up with my own way of doing it!
very awesome!!
Thank you so much!
Wonderful idea! So simple but they look just gorgeous! Very inspiring
This would be fun with colored wire too!
You’re right! I think I probably used a little thicker wire as well so that I wouldn’t have to wrap it quite so many times. Oh well! There’s always next time 🙂
Looks gorgeous! Such interesting idea; at home we used to just put empty bottles right through the trash can.
